About me

Creating a unique piece that tells a story which is truly yours: this is what drives my work as a tattoo artist.

I’m Tricia, 29-year-old and originally from Curaçao. I live a nomadic life with my husband and dog, filling my days with rock climbing, yoga, exploring nature, and of course tattooing. Aira means “of the water” and “of the wind”, and as the name suggests, the flow of these two elements is where I draw inspiration from.

As a former physical education teacher, I developed a deep understanding of human anatomy and movement. My love for tattooing was sparked when I discovered freehand linework, a technique that allows me to highlight the body’s unique features.

Every tattoo session starts with studying your body in various positions. By drawing lines directly on the skin ‘freehand’ (without a printed stencil), we can see the design move with your muscles and become part of you. This is where the magic starts to happen, even before turning the design into a tattoo!
